Ruby’s First Day
Ruby forgot her book bag and in her book bag was her lunch. It was her first day of school and it drove her nuts. The other kids were eating munch munch munch. But ruby sat staring at the table for she had no lunch. One boy had a sandwich of peanut butter, another salami, one had a hot dog, another pastrami. One girl had a sandwich of tuna, another of cheese, one had a pizza. “Could I have a bite please”, Ruby said to herself. Her stomach was turning, Her eyes could only stare. Her mouth was drooling from the wonderful smells in the air. She could not take it much longer she was about to shout. She could here the kids eating loudly a crunch crunch crunch crunch! But coming from behind was her mom with a sack. She had brought Ruby her book bag and inside her lunch.
